Dog found in dumpster wrapped up in duct tape: “I have never seen anything like it”
It’s horrifying how cruel some people can be to animals. Recently, a dog was found with his head, tail, and legs wrapped in duct tape, abandoned in a dumpster.
On April 15, the Nebraska Humane Society shared the disturbing case. A caller thought they heard a raccoon but found a dog in shocking condition—taped up and covered in debris.
“I’ve never seen anything like it,” said Animal Control officer Kevin Wiederin. “It was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen.”
Thankfully, the dog was rescued just in time—30 minutes later, the dumpster was emptied. At the shelter, staff sedated him, removed the tape, and cleaned him up. Despite mild irritation, he was healthy and wagging his tail.
A microchip revealed his name was Leo. His owner, Erin Dillon-Pasillas, had been frantically searching since he went missing days earlier. “Every day got more stressful,” she said. “I was shaking, hoping it was my dog.”
