Our Dog Wouldn’t Stop Barking at the Thanksgiving Turkey — When I Finally Checked It, I Called the Police

Thanksgiving took a wild turn when our dog, Max, started barking incessantly at the turkey my husband, Kyle, had picked up. I thought he just wanted a treat, but when I uncovered the turkey, I found something shocking—money. Thousands of dollars, hidden inside the bird!

After calling the police, they showed up, and Kyle returned with his mom, looking nervous. The officers were suspicious, but it turned out Kyle had cashed out his savings for a surprise Hawaii trip and stuffed the cash inside the turkey to keep it a secret.

The police had a good laugh, and I was left mortified. Kyle’s plan could have gone horribly wrong, but thankfully Max saved the day by alerting us. We later laughed about it, and had a memorable Thanksgiving despite the drama.
